Track: Track 3

As technical people we are often celebrated and pat each other the back for the things we can do. Unfortunately, our managers don't always appreciate the hard work we do, the threats we try to prevent, and the risks we mitigate. The mangers think in terms of ROI, LOE, and customer impact and not BoF, XSS, and SQL Injection. Those silly managers need to learn what we do and why are are important. That's where we are failing. If a stupid manager can't understand what we do and why we need to do it, then we are failing at showing our value. Why should they listen to us day after day when we fail at showing our value and why our opinions are important? Learn to exploit your management, how to increase your value, and get the decisions you want when you want them.
