We all know that the state of internet security is somewhat less than perfect, but how bad is it- from an average (OK, maybe not completely average) family’s perspective, and what can we do about it? By monitoring the internet usage habits of an unsuspecting American family (mine) I’ve gathered a lot of real world data, some of which is interesting, and some scary. Based on this, I’ll look at what needs to be done, what can be done, and where we just need to give up. Audience input and participation is strongly encouraged in this talk.
