Project SCEVRON: SCan EVrything with ruby RONin

DerbyCon 4.0 - Family Rootz

Presented by: Derek Callaway
Date: Saturday September 27, 2014
Time: 17:00 - 17:25
Location: Stable Talks

Ronin is a set of libraries for exploit developers and penetration testers. In particular- it is quite convenient when programming automated solutions for time-consuming test cases encountered during software security testing and Internetwork scanning. The subject material covered will include Ruby MRI and the associated standard library- classes and methods made available within namespaces specific to the ronin framework itself- and using the set theory laid out by discrete mathematics for combinatoric input set generation. Case studies will be presented that focus on automating software testing processes and network security scanning. This is a talk for anyone who has felt awkward or just plain frustrated when faced with the developmental limitations imposed by commercial network security scanning and exploitation framework plug-in API’s.
